Date Details of Operation
25 October 1942 Raining like stink when we woke up and it continued on and off all day
We had several air raid alarms and heard enemy aircraft, one quite low in cloud.
A gun post at Southend hit a Dornier 217 killing the pilot, causing it to crash halfway across the aerodrome,
and through 350's Dispersal hut. 3 of the crew were killed, another seriously wounded.
W/O Engineer in the hut was also killed.
