Ernest Phillip Orwell (Phil) Perkins; Air Raid Warden and Invasion Officer of The Dick Turpin Hotel, Aldborough Hatch, died on Saturday 18 November 1944 age 43.
Phil, Son of Mr & Mrs E. E .Perkins at the Dick Turpin Hotel, is buried in St Peters Churchyard, Aldborough Hatch.

Phil was standing in front of the Dick Turpin Hotel talking with William George Skeet a Leading Aircraftsman stationed at RAF Fairlop. when both were killed by a Flying Bomb. The bomb demolished the front of the Hotel.

William George Skeet is buried in Barkingside Cemetery
